Drop the weight

Drop the weight

There once was a Princess who called Earth her home planet.

She’d look to the sky and ask ‘this can’t be it, can it?

It was no coincidence of how she was named

She would travel a similar journey along which she would be trained.

It was not her wish to prove wrong the hate.

Her path was simpler than that, to lead with love and trust fate.

She sought knowledge and people who could teach her their ways.

She surrendered to joy even in the darkest of days.

For every encounter, a lesson to be learned.

Every challenge overcame a badge earned.

So, she listened with an open heart for a message from her guides

She followed the synchronicities with an open mind

There was no challenge of body, no physical strength test

She was guided to let go so she could embrace her full zest

The message came in unexpectedly, as they always do

And needed repeating so she was sure to follow through

She knew it to be important and took note when she heard it first.

Thousands of notes jot down she used to believe a curse.

Her guides have a sense of humor that was obvious when she heard it again.

For now, it came from her inner voice, her best friend.

‘Drop the weight,’ whispered fate.

And drop the weight she did.

She had learned her lesson with resistance, who was she to kid?

Do not worry, my child; you have nothing to fret.

You have faced so many battles and have not lost one yet.

There will be many more battles to come, so you must believe.

For every battle is fought within, and every victory brings relief.
